Our treatment is medication and counseling based, which allows our patients receive relief from addiction and modify “using†behavior at the same time. The medication we use to treat our patients with is called methadone. Methadone is used as a tool to assist patients in their recovery from opioid addiction. Methadone is not a cure for the problem of opioid dependence. It is a treatment -- and one that is effective only as long as a person continues to take the medication as prescribed by the physician. At our clinic we recognize that patients are individuals with individual needs.
