Both of our clinics share the same commitment to providing the highest level of care to our clients in order to treat opioid dependence. If you are only looking for medication and are not interested in the rest of our services, we are not the treatment facility for you. Alliance Recovery Center is accredited through CARF (the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission). We are members of the Opioid Treatment Providers of Georgia, the National Opioid Treatment Clinicians Association, and are affiliated with The American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence and The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. The Men’s Recovery Center (MRC) is a spiritually based, two-phase structure that requires a minimum of 90 days of residential drug and alcohol treatment. Our rehab center gradually guides men into a balanced lifestyle and on the road to recovery. MRC’s therapeutic community model promotes responsibility and accountability, as well as establishes healthy habits. Phase I – Beginning with an intensive day-treatment schedule, clients receive individual attention and group therapy to ensure a complete understanding of the foundation for recovery. Together with a certified substance abuse counselor, each client learns about the crucial components of sober living and real-world recovery. This includes the 12-Step Program, the disease model of addiction, relapse prevention and healthy coping behaviors. Phase I of treatment lasts between 30 and 45 days. Phase II – When clients enter Phase II of addiction treatment at MARR’s Men’s Recovery Center, they must obtain employment or find volunteer placement if appropriate. The structure of a daytime job, evening groups, working with a sponsor and interacting with their therapeutic community is essential in early sobriety. Clients learn how to put their recovery first and live one day a time. Phase II of treatment lasts approximately 60 days. As men progress through drug and alcohol treatment, other core issues are often identified. MARR’s primary focus is the treatment of substance use disorders (formally called chemical dependency); however, we can address additional issues as they relate to addiction and include them as a part of their overall treatment plan.

At our clinic we recognize that patients are individuals with individual needs. Our patients are screened, assessed, and helped to formulate a plan of action tailored exclusively to them and them alone. Our patients attend individual counseling sessions, experience group counseling, progress in medication-assisted treatment, and have access to one of the best clinic medical staffs in the country. We are committed to treating our patients with compassion while treating them with dignity and respect. We are dedicated to assisting them in getting the help that they need in order to restore their health, self-respect, integrity and well-being. The Recovery Center is a client centered, assessing the needs of each person and meeting those needs not available by coordinating services with other agencies. Clinical services are based on a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and appropriate placement for the appropriate levels of care. Staff works with each client to develop an individualized plan which includes goals and objectives specific to the person’s unique challenges. Clinical need is continually assessed, and the client remains involved in the care planning process. The Recovery Center also features an Adult and Child & Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Facility that features a unique programming focused on assisting mentally ill individuals to avoid hospitalization, or can serve as a “step-down” unit from hospitalization. The program’s services are offered in a setting that is more secure than the person’s home, but also less restrictive than a hospital setting. The availability of the crisis unit most often eliminates any need for admission to an inpatient psychiatric unit for mentally ill individuals whose diagnosis has resulted in acute symptoms that require immediate supervised crisis intervention. When necessary, the CSU provides a functioning assessment, medication management, individual, family or group therapy, and arrangements for other rehabilitative or support services (i.e. legal, health, etc.) as necessary. Care is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by professional and licensed staff. Many insurance plans cover Crisis Stabilization Services. The Crisis Stabilization unit currently features a 28 bed adult unit with 2 transitional beds (12 newly awarded beds) and a 16 bed child and youth unit with 2 transitional beds.

Description: Heritage Foundation Inc. (HFI) is a non-profit organization that was established in the state of Georgia in 1989. The organization provides prevention, education, intervention, and treatment services throughout southwest Georgia. HFI was originally created to promote a positive image for African Americans and to enrich their lives through cultural programs within the community. With the discovery of far more deeply rooted generational, psycho-social and behavioral issues plaguing the family unit, in 1994 the organization broadened its focus to develop initiatives that address the proliferation of drug addiction among youth. These initiatives spawned nationally recognized programs that included drug prevention, in-home counseling and case management programs for adolescents and their families who faced substance abuse problems. Since its inception the organization has received in excess of $3M of both private and public funding to support these programs. Our vision is to afford all persons within the South Georgia Community an opportunity to achieve a rewarding, healthy and productive life, free of substance abuse. The Heritage Foundation is dedicated to providing the highest level of dignified, safe, confidential, therapeutic, effective and targeted programs to our clients every day.

Description: Women are affected by addiction differently than men. At MARR in Atlanta, our Women’s Recovery Center (WRC) offers residential substance abuse treatment that is specific to the needs of women. The two-phase program structure and dedicated staff are focused on providing a safe place where women can begin working on their addiction. As women progress through the addiction recovery process, other core issues are often identified. MARR’s primary focus is the treatment of substance use disorders (formerly called chemical dependency); however, we can address additional issues and co-occurring disorders as a part of their overall treatment. Phase 1 - The Women’s Recovery Center requires a minimum 90-day commitment, beginning with intensive day treatment for the first 30 to 45 days. Phase I includes groups, educational classes and 12-Step work. At the conclusion of this phase, the staff and client review progress and identify treatment goals for Phase II of substance abuse treatment. The client will then meet weekly with an individual therapist to work on these goals. Phase II - Women’s Recovery Center, clients in Phase II are required to secure employment or suitable volunteer placement if appropriate. Through a structured daily routine and the therapeutic community model, they begin to learn a balanced lifestyle of recovery. Managing a schedule that includes daytime employment; evening groups; working through Steps 1, 2 and 3 with their recovery network (including a sponsor); and responsibilities at home is part of the therapeutic value of treatment at WRC.

Bitterness, anger, hostile, and sullen were words used to describe them at point of entry. The talent level of the grads was far above average. Each has the ability to be an achiever. Some have worked outside the center at times during the day. Employers spoke of their work ethic and sense of responsibility. All of this ability was shrouded by drugs. The chemical curtain had been drawn on them and their time on the stage of life played out in addiction.

We have been using Methadone and Buprenorphine (Suboxone & Subutex) to treat heroin addiction and addiction to prescription opioid pain medication (Lortab, Percocet, Vicodin, Oxycontin, Dilaudid, Morphine, Roxycodone, Fentanyl, etc.) in the Atlanta area for over 15 years. Alliance Recovery Center employs an experienced medical staff and a professional master’s level counseling staff. In 2005 we opened in Conyers, Georgia in order to serve Newton, Rockdale, Henry, Clayton, and Walton counties. Both of our clinics share the same commitment to providing the highest level of care to our clients in order to treat opioid dependence. Treatment at Alliance Recovery Center is for the highly motivated individual who is seriously seeking help. We are not a typical “Methadone Clinic”. Treatment here is therapy oriented. The emphasis is not placed on the medication. Our master’s level counseling staff helps our clients eliminate their addictive behaviors and resolve the issues that may have turned them to drug abuse through individual and group counseling. Alliance Recovery Center is now proud to offer court ordered assessments and treatment including anger management assessments and classes, D.U.I assessments, drug and alcohol evaluations and counseling, and court ordered & non-court ordered drug screening. Website: http://www.greenleafhospital.com/
Description: Greenleaf is committed to providing our clients and community with a wide variety of services to help adults and adolescents whose needs range from the structured environment of an inpatient crisis center to intense outpatient services. Located on the same campus as our inpatient program, Greenleaf Counseling Center offers several outpatient options for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 and adults age 18 and older. Greenleaf Counseling Center is located in a separate building on our campus and proudly offers a group-oriented partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Both of these programs allow for structured therapy during the day while the client slowly reintegrates back into his or her community in the evenings. PHP and IOP are used as a step up from traditional outpatient services or as a step down from our intensive inpatient crisis center. Depending upon the person, the typical stay in our PHP or IOP program will last between three and six weeks. Those participating in our intense outpatient services will receive group, individual, and family therapy in addition to medication management as needed. Greenleaf’s adult focus program is designed for clients ages 18 and older who are struggling with mental health and/or chemical dependency issues. Care is provided in a group-oriented setting; each client attends two to five groups weekly for two to four hours each day. Topics for our adult focus program may include development of healthy coping mechanisms, assertiveness training, challenging negative thought processes, and support for living on his or her own. Clients in our adult focus program also meet with their therapist individually once per week to address treatment plans and goals. Greenleaf’s teen focus intense outpatient group is designed for clients ages 12 through 17 who are struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders. Care is provided through a group-oriented setting in which our clients attend group therapy three to five days each week for three hours a day after school. Our focus for our teen group is structure and accountability for thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. Additionally, our teen clients will have family therapy sessions to address issues within the family dynamic and provide family education as needed.
