Description: The RASUW Center for Women is located in Bartow, FL. Adult women, (over the age of 18), residing in Polk, Highlands or Hardee County, Florida are eligible for admission to the center. The RASUW Center for Women is a fifteen (15) bed modified therapeutic community serving adult females with substance abuse and co-occurring difficulties. The program provides priority placement and treatment for women who are pregnant or post-partum as well as women 18 years of age or older. The primary purpose of this program continues to focus the needs of women who require substance abuse and co-occurring treatment. The concurrent treatment of mental health, and substance dependence difficulties provides a safe residential environment, which is considered to be an integral aspect of the recovery process. The RASUW Center for Women provides a ninety (90) day treatment regimen utilizing science-based techniques and strategies specifically designed to meet the needs of women. Residential Level III RASUW Center for Women: Residential Level III will be as short term transitional program to help the individual move back into the community and/or other treatment program. It is also available for those who have are awaiting formal admission to another treatment program. Rather than have someone wait in an environment that would not deter a lapse in sobriety, the potential person served will be given an opportunity to participate in a level III process until their formal admission.

Description: Tri-County Human Services provides medically supervised alcohol/drug detoxification to adults residing in Hardee, Highlands and Polk Counties. Located in Bartow, Florida, the facility also provides substance abuse evaluation and referral services. Length of stays vary from 3-6 days depending upon the detoxification protocol utilized. Admissions to the program are accepted 24-hours a day. The Detoxification Unit accepts referrals from a variety of sources including private citizens, public and private mental health/substance abuse treatment providers and the judicial system. Once clients have completed detoxification and assessment at the unit, they are referred to public or private substance abuse and mental health treatment facilities as clinically indicated. Referrals are also made to self-help groups such as Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Residential Level III Detox: Residential Level III is a short term transitional program to help move an individual back into the community and/or other treatment program. It is also available for those who have completed detoxification yet lack stable housing as they await formal admission to the Florida Center for Addictions and Dual Disorders or RASUW Center for Women. Rather than have someone wait in an environment that would not deter a lapse in sobriety, the potential person served will be given an opportunity to participate in the level III program until their formal admission another program.

Description: The In-Jail Substance Abuse Treatment Program, (JASA), operates in two counties; the Polk County Jail System in Bartow, Florida and the Highlands County Jail in Sebring, Florida. Tri-County Human Services, Inc., manages the Award Winning JASA program in cooperation with the Polk & Highlands County Sheriff's Departments. The target population for the program is individuals with admitted substance abuse problems and co-occurring disorders. The program works towards identifying behaviors which cause significant problems in the participant’s life and then working towards helping the client develop a firm foundation for recovery. Most of the participants in the program are of low income, have not completed high school and reside in areas of Polk and Highlands Counties. JASA provides treatment to the inmates in the jail system and is highly cost effective. The JASA program has saved taxpayer funds and freed space in the existing jails, limiting the need for new facilities. Participants learn new skills while in treatment that improve their lives and the lives of their families.
