Tri-county Human Service Inc. - Florida Center For Addictions & Co-occurring Disorders Location: Avon Park, FL - 33825 Contact Phone: (863) 452-3858 Website: http://tchsonline.org/ Description: The Florida Center is a 55-bed residential facility for adults with co-occurring substance abuse and psychiatric disorders. Utilizing a skilled professional staff, the Florida Center provides up to 63 days of “state of the art†clinical intervention. To be successful, treatment of the substance abuse and mental disorders must occur simultaneously. Treatment includes the following services: substance abuse/mental health assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication therapy, individual counseling, group counseling, HIV screening, and recreational therapy. This program serves all 67 counties of the State of Florida. Residential Level II- 5-bed Program: The 5-Bed Male Substance Abuse Program is for those individuals presenting with a primary substance abuse related disorder. This program provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services. Upon admission, individuals will be acclimated to Florida Center’s therapeutic community while beginning the assessment phase of their program. Individual, group counseling and case management services are provided. Because aftercare planning is so vital to recovery and integral to treatment success, Florida Center makes aftercare recommendations for all these individuals to transitional living facilities such as half way houses to facilitate continued sobriety and drug free living. The 5-Bed Male Substance Abuse Program participants follow the same modalities as all persons served at Florida Center. Residential Level III Florida Center: Residential Level III is a short term transitional program to help the individual move back into the community and/or other treatment program. It is also available for those who have completed detoxification yet lack stable housing as they await formal admission to the Florida Center for Addictions and Dual Disorders. Rather than have someone wait in an environment that would not deter a lapse in sobriety, the potential person served will be given an opportunity to participate in a level III process until their formal admission is completed. The level III program is also used as a step down to begin transition back to the community as appropriate |

Tri-county Human Service Inc. - Highlands County Outpatient Clinic Location: Avon Park, FL - 33825 Contact Phone: (863) 452-0106 Website: http://tchsonline.org/ Description: Tri-County Human Services, Inc. provides adult outpatient Substance Abuse (SA) and Mental Health (MH) services at locations in Lakeland, Winter Haven, Avon Park and Wauchula. The outpatient clinics provide a wide range of behavioral health services including assessment, medical services (Lakeland & Avon Park), case management, Targeted Case Management (Avon Park), individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, education groups, family counseling, aftercare services, drug screening by urinalysis, and referral for adjunctive and aftercare services as clinically indicated. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment is available at Lakeland location. Length of stays in outpatient services range from three to nine months. Outpatient services offer individuals the opportunity and means to overcome their substance abuse problems without regard for the client’s ability to pay for services. Treatment success or failure is significantly correlated with the individual's motivation to change and with their willingness to follow treatment recommendations to develop a healthier lifestyle. Tri-County Human Services, Inc. provides adolescent (children ages 10 – 18) outpatient Substance Abuse and Co-occurring services at locations in Lakeland, Winter Haven, Avon Park and Wauchula and Mental Health (children age 4 – 18) services at Avon Park. The outpatient clinics provide a wide range of behavioral health services including assessment, medical services (Lakeland & Avon Park), case management, Targeted case management (Avon Park), individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, education groups, family counseling, aftercare services, drug screening by urinalysis, and referral for adjunctive and aftercare services as clinically indicated. Length of stays in outpatient services range from three to nine months. Individualized treatment plans are developed with each adolescent with input from the child’s parent/guardian. Parental participation in all aspects of treatment is encouraged. |
