Description: Mother’s Retreat, located in Groton, is a long-term, residential treatment facility for pregnant and parenting women who desire to live a clean and sober life. The program assists young women in their recovery from substance use by providing quality clinical services and individualized treatment in a warm, supportive environment. Mother’s Retreat also assists women who are seeking to reunite with their children. All clients participate in a personal recovery plan, as well as individual and group therapy. Clients can be both self-referred or referred by state agencies such as the Department of Children and Families, and the Department of Correction.

Description: Natchaug's Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as six and as old as 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. The intensive, structured clinical treatment offers three to four hours of treatment up to five days a week. These intensive treatment programs can help prevent the need for hospitalization. They can also help people make the transition to home after inpatient or residential treatment. Natchaug brings this clinical care closer to people’s homes by offering programs throughout Eastern Connecticut. Adult Day and Evening Treatment: When people need intensive, comprehensive treatment for psychiatric and chemical dependency issues but do not need inpatient or residential hospital care, Natchaug offers intensive, structured clinical treatment in programs that may include up to six hours of treatment a day, five days a week. These intensive treatment programs can help prevent the need for hospitalization. They can also help people make the transition to home after inpatient or residential treatment. Natchaug brings this clinical care closer to people’s homes by offering programs throughout Eastern Connecticut. Young Adult Program: The Young Adult Program is where 18- to 25-year olds can feel comfortable dealing with the issues that are unique to their stage of life. The Program serves men and women in this age group who are struggling due to mental illness, occupational or educational problems, relationship issues, family conflict, addictions or other influences that interfere with their day-to-day functioning. In order to minimize conflicts with school or work, the program is run Monday through Friday during the afternoon. The length of treatment generally runs six to eight weeks depending on the individual needs of the patient. Although patients are not required to inform their family of their treatment, the decision about whether or not to involve their family is an important one. Patients are encouraged to include anyone who will be a support to them throughout treatment.
