Moderate Drinking Program And Products
Location: Santa Rosa, CA - 95402
Contact Phone: (888) 773-7465
Website: http://www.drinklinkmoderation.com
Description: I was in my thirties when I started to question my drinking. I was health conscious, thought I was drinking more than I should and if I didn't deal with it I could even become an alcoholic. I was constantly worried about it. But on the other hand, I didn't think it was serious enough to stop altogether. At the time, my only options were to continue drinking or stop and go to AA. Even though I knew there were millions of people just like me - problem drinkers outnumber alcoholics four to one - there was no program to teach you how to drink sensibly and appropriately. And make alcohol less important in your life. So with my background in psychology and desire to fix my own drinking problem, I developed the Drink/Link Moderate Drinking Program in 1988. Since then I've helped thousands of drinkers to drink less, modify their drinking habits and attitudes and prevent alcoholism. I've also written five books on the subject: 7 Weeks to Safe Social Drinking: How to Effectively Moderate Your Alcohol Intake, Moderate Drinking - Naturally! Herbs and Vitamins to Control Your Drinking, Moderate Drinking My Way, The Moderate Drinking Made Easy Workbook and Beat Binge Drinking. Drink/Link is a commonsense program - first, you learn five safe-drinking guidelines, then you learn proven behavior management strategies and techniques to help you stay within those guidelines. If you stick to the program I GUARANTEE you'll drink less. No meetings, doctors, counseling, prescriptions or belief in a higher power are required for you to succeed. Over 80% of the drinkers who have completed the program have either cut their drinking in half or significantly reduced their consumption. The Self-Study Program is an easy "first step" to healthier drinking habits you complete on your own and the Telephone Program is more intensive. Each include phone coaching sessions with me personally. Drink/Link is registered with the California Dept. of Alcohol & Drug Programs and the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services.

Description: Campobello, an innovative chemical dependency treatment center, is on a 20 acre ranch nestled in the Sonoma County countryside. Campobello at Guerneville Rd is the residential setting and also offers day or partial treatment. Day treatment clients have the same schedule as the residents but go home at night and are not here on Sundays. Clients often start at one level of care and move through two or three other levels of care all within one treatment episode. For example, a client may start at the detox level for 3 days, move to the residential level for 7-10 days, step down to day treatment for two weeks, and go to a twice weekly evening outpatient level for another two weeks. All decisions are made using professional assessment material and in conferences with the needs of the client. The residential/day treatment program offers a very comprehensive Family Program under the direction of our Executive Director and Family Therapist. Loved ones and family members are asked to attend an intensive family day every Saturday. In addition, family and loved ones are invited to individual sessions with the family therapist and participate in contracting exit meetings with their family member who is in treatment. Mornings at Campobello are educational and afternoons are counseling groups. We have gender specific groups in addition to the small Case Management groups. Individual time with your Case Manager is on an as needed basis. Anyone may request additional individual time whenever they feel they need to. The length of time of the sub-acute detoxification is supervised and type of medication is individual and will be determined by the history and physical examination by the doctor. Residential is a highly structured program of education and counseling.
