Description: Addiction to alcohol and other drugs is a progressive, but treatable disease. Ujima East Outpatient Treatment Program offers evidence based specialized services to promote recovery from drug and alcohol abuse for pregnant, postpartum and parenting women with young children. We respond to the unique needs of families devastated by addiction. The Program located in Pittsburg serves women from Contra Costa County. In this setting, we offer a warm family atmosphere where the recovering woman can begin to learn how to live in and alcohol and drug free environment. Our community-based program helps women explore their alternatives in recovery, and take responsibility for their own lives. We also offer them the opportunity for personal recovery while continuing to care for their children.
