Northern California Treatment Services
Location: Oroville, CA - 95965
Contact Phone: (530) 533-7664
Website: http://www.norcaltreatment.org/
Description: Northern California Treatment Services (NCTS) provides services to persons struggling to overcome alcohol and drug dependency. We provide a full spectrum of housing and treatment opportunities necessary to break out of the vicious cycle of substance abuse, crime, incarceration and failure. With support, security and shelter, we return our clients to being productive members of society. Recognizing that no program can prevail until the client is truly ready to change, our program offers a highly structured environment where there are minimal opportunities for regression. We place our clients in a controlled environment in homes in Oroville and assist them in dealing with recovery from substance abuse, the burden of living challenges and their re-integration back into society. NCTS was started in 2001 in Marysville, CA. In 2008, the program was transferred to the Oroville Economic and Community Development Corporation. Eric J. Almquist, President and CEO of OECDC, restructured the program and moved its operations to Oroville, CA. With the assistance of Michael Anderson, Executive Director of NCTS, today there are thirteen houses and one four-plex used as transitional living (SLE) facilities providing treatment on an out-patient basis and our fully licensed resdential care facility. Further plans include additional facilities in Butte County and "Victory Village" our recovery program for Veterans. We offer full residential care, outpatient services and intensive sober living environments. Outpatient services are offered to clients who require specialized treatment without continuous supervision. Services include drug free housing, treatment assessments, individual counseling sessions, group counseling, specialized treatment planning, weekly drug screening, representation in the judicial system, and referral services. Our sober living environment services provide a living program with less structure, supervision and support than residential care. Clients in the SLE program must attend weekly 12-step meetings, sign in-out, complete daily chores and follow rules and procedures. Our intensive program is designed to provide maximum structure and support. In our treatment program, our clients are "blacked out" for the first 30 days to minimize any contact with former associates that might bring negative influences and allow them to focus on treatment goals. Group and individual counseling, vocational training and living skills are provided. Support services including utilities, transportation and household supplies are included. We enjoy a sound business relationship with Butte County Behavioral Health Department, Department of Corrections, the California Department of Veterans Affairs, Butte County Sheriff and the probation and parole agencies.
