We provide hope, help, and healing to the community. Long Beach Regional Drug Court Program - A “therapeutic justice†program. The judge, court staff, and treatment counselors work together to help repeat drug offenders achieve total abstinence from illegal drugs and return to the community as productive members. Program participation freezes criminal proceedings before arraignment. This intense program includes at least a year’s worth of group therapy, individual counseling, drug and alcohol classes, frequent drug tests, regular progress reports to the court, and sanctions if the rules are broken. Residential services are available for men through Beacon House and for women through our Residential Substance Abuse Recovery Program for Women and their Children. Related criminal charges are dropped for those who successfully complete the program. |

SEA Charter School serves at-risk and disadvantaged youth, ages 14 to 18, who are on probation, credit-deficient, or have been expelled from school. We provide a rigorous academic curriculum, credit-recovery, and a comprehensive set of social and wrap-around services to both youth and their families. Our goal at SEA Charter School is not only to help students succeed academically, but, even more importantly, to help them grow to become responsible, contributing adults. Seventy-seven percent (77%) of the students who enter SEA Charter School successfully exit the program after catching up on their credits either by graduating from the school, returning to their home school, or by entering a more appropriate learning environment. |
