Description: Humboldt Alcohol Recovery Treatment (HART) has provided DUI Program Services for Humboldt County since July 1991. We provide programs for any individual who has been arrested or convicted of Driving Under the Influence of alcohol or drugs. All HART programs are licensed by the State Department of Alcohol and Drug Services, pursuant to Title 9, Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations. We work in cooperation with the criminal justice system as well as with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The goal of HART is to assist the client participating in the program to recognize his/her level of chemical dependency, acquaint him/her with life problems associated with chemical dependency, and to aid in their recovery. Our staff works within the parameters of Title 9 to assist the client in making positive changes in their daily lives and to give them the tools to avoid future DUI offenses by providing quality group, face to face, and education components. Referral to other services are made as appropriate, or requested.
