Originally known as Serenity House, our facility came from inauspicious beginnings in an old YWCA building. After a move to a large home in downtown Little Rock (where Serenity House, now a chemical-free living environment for men, remains to this day), Serenity Park was officially established at 2801 West Roosevelt. Of the first twenty men who went through our program, nine have maintained continuous sobriety and eight others have been sober for over fourteen years. We have now treated over 30,000 men and women and our recovery rate remains high. Serenity Park currently offers 30-45 days of residential treatment and a 12-week aftercare program. We offer chemical-free living for men at Serenity House and work with several chemical-free houses for women. We have seven counselors, a legal liason, and a host of support and administrative staff, all of whom work to support our clients’ sobriety above all else. |

Our goal is to be culturally competent, evidence-based, clinically sound program which attends to the daily needs of providing quality care for our client. We are committed to providing effective, innovative and affordable addiction treatment. Hoover Treatment Center is committed to facilitating growth through education, treatment and job training, so that individuals can become more productive citizens of our State. Our staff is dedicated to helping individuals reach sobriety and maintain it by mastering the skills needed to make better choices and incorporating them into daily activities for a healthier and meaningful life. Our program, annually serves approximately 1000 individuals, focuses on prevention, intervention, treatment and after care to individuals with substance abuse problems. Clients receive assessments, job readiness and life skills training, and referrals for mental health and other health-related issues. Seventy percent of our clients are employed when they leave the program, and at least 50 percent are reunited with their families. In many cases, she has been the victim of various forms of verbal, physical or sexual abuse. We take a holistic approach to chemical dependency treatment. We view it as a problem of the whole person. Problems may include thinking patterns, negative behavior, interpersonal skills, spiritual and moral issues, as well as occupational & educational functioning. Our Mission: To provide comprehensive treatment services for substance abusing women and their children with a special emphasis on addicted prenatal women.†Quapaw House, Inc. requires females to be pregnant or parenting to qualify for admission. Priority is given in the following order: Pregnant IV users, Pregnant, IV users, Special Needs. Quapaw House is licensed to provide Regional Alcohol and Drug Detoxification (RADD) Services. Our Detoxification Program provides evaluations, observation (3 Day), and medical detoxification (5 Day). These services are facilitated by LPN's or Regional Alcohol and Drug Detoxification Specialists (trained and certified by the Arkansas Department of Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention) and supervised by our Medical Director and Medical Services Coordinator. Clients will be evaluated and recommendations will be made in regards to a follow up plan which may include one of the other treatment modalities available at Quapaw House. Pregnant women in first and third trimester will be referred to a local hospital for detoxification. Pregnant women in their second trimester are referred to the Residential Alcohol and Drug Detoxification unit located at Quapaw House's Adult Residential facility for the duration of detoxification services. Upon completion of those services, women are then moved to BARBS Place for the remainder of their residential treatment stay. BARBS Place offers an on-site State Licensed Child Care Program for our women who enter our facility with children 6 years old and under. The children attend the Child Care Program while the mothers are in groups learning recovery skills, parenting skills & job training. BARBS Place refers expectant mothers to the Mercy Pregnancy Care Clinic at St. Josephs Hospital or Physicians for Women at National Park Medical Center. These mothers will be provided with prenatal care, delivery & post partum care. |
