Details: Adolescent girls can get lost in addiction and substance abuse disorders, robbed of their formative years in life, become vulnerable, filled with worry, fear, anger, and depression, the emotional byproducts of drug and alcohol use and the behaviors that come with them. Young girls at a crossroads; it’s heartbreaking and worrisome. “How do we stop this…what can we do?†is the cry of everyone concerned. Prairie House Recovery Center is an 8-bed residential care addiction treatment program for girls between the ages of 13-18 struggling with addiction and substance use disorders that provides an intimate, homelike atmosphere with a focus on recovery from addiction and sober living in a structured, safe, and dynamic environment where girls can grow in self-esteem, emotional maturity, and recovery.
