Details: The Recovery Basics program offers outpatient treatment to adults abusing alcohol or other mood-altering substances. A multidisciplinary team approach is used to treat with each individual. Client-centered treatment plans are developed for each program participant, focused on teaching: Physical effects of chemicals and the benefits of abstinence; New thinking patterns while helping participants understand the effects chemical dependence has had on relationships, family and work; Techniques to build a support network; Long-term care and sober living skills through the use of support groups.
