Details: The Twelfth Step House of San Diego, Inc., operates Heartland House, a residential facility for men recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction. Incorporated January 4, 1960, The Twelfth Step House of San Diego, Inc., dba Heartland House has provided recovery services for over 50 years. We are an accredited Social Model Recovery Home, licensed and certified by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS_SUD) Compliance Division. Our facility accommodates 28 residents. We also provide transitional Sober Living housing for up to 8 graduates of our program. Heartland House is funded in part by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, Division of Behavioral Health Services. federal and state agencies, resident fees, and donations. The Twelfth Step House of San Diego, Inc., is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (95-2151829). Our abstinence- based program is derived from the Twelve Step recovery concept. The program at Heartland House is organized as a social model program and since learning demands willingness and desire, entrance to the program must be voluntary on the part of every prospective resident.
