Description: The A. F. Whitsitt Center is a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week residential treatment facility offering treatment to adults ages 18 and over suffering from chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders.A professional treatment team comprised of nurses, addiction counselors and staff physician as well as social worker, care coordinator and psychiatrist. A combination of their skills and experience provide a complete program tailored to the needs of each patient. Our program is a variable length of stay with referral to sober living housing as needed. The A.F. Whitsitt Center also offers a medically monitored Detoxification for alcohol, opiate and/or benzodiazepine dependent individuals.

Description: Assessment and treatment services for individuals and families dealing with chemical dependency and substance abuse issues. Court referred individuals and DWI offender groups meet the recommended guidelines of the Department of Motor Vehicles for DWI offenders. We will work with individuals who come to us on their own for help, have been referred by their lawyers or have treatment as a condition of their probation. Kent County Behavioral Health-Outpatient Addictions Services participates in the State of Maryland Buprenorphine Initiative Program. Customers are treated with group and individual therapy sessions by program counselors while also being monitored and provided Suboxone prescriptions by out program physician. The ultimate goal is improvement in overall quality of life while obtaining a clean and sober lifestyle. We have limited availability for customers serious about treating their opiate addiction.
