Serving 12 counties covering a 4,400 square mile geographic area since 1973, Highland Rivers Health provides services to 14,431 children, adolescents, and adults who have mental illness, addiction, or developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families. Our Crisis Stabilization Program provides community-based, short-term detoxification and mental health crisis stabilization in a residential setting. We believe that serving people in their community and in the least restrictive setting promotes and helps to sustain long term recovery. This program is an alternative to placement in an acute inpatient facility, with the average annual length of stay for all individuals not to exceed 8 days. |

Our Women’s Outreach Program includes both residential and intensive outpatient services that address risk factors for relapse and support women in achieving abstinence, maintaining recovery, avoiding illegal activity, obtaining gainful employment, meeting parenting roles and responsibilities, and transitioning into safe and stable housing. We know that keeping families together and in their communities promotes and helps to sustain recovery. Program offers hope, love , and assistance for pregnant or postpartum women in recovery by removing substance abuse as a barrier to employment and integrating into the community. |
